BYOL — Bring Your Own License

Several engines reference standards that carry copyright: ISO 12217, IACS Unified Requirements, SOLAS, and classification rules. Yantrah holds only the method and citation — never the standard text itself. If you intend to use a result for regulatory purposes, you need a licensed copy of the cited standard to verify it at source. This is a condition of use, not a platform limitation.

Qualified — not certified

Every result is qualified — it follows a published engineering method, names the source, and states the method's applicability limits. It is not certified. Not reviewed by a classification society. Not approved for regulatory submission. Not a substitute for a competent naval architect's judgement. Use every output as a screener that tells you where to look and what to size — not as a document you sign off on.
